Built to Last

Sustainability in jewellery isn't just about where materials come from. It's about what you make with them — and how long it lasts.

I'm not interested in pieces that look good in a photograph and wear out in three years. Every ring that leaves my bench is built for daily wear — set properly, finished properly, constructed to hold up over decades. That means thinking about wall thickness, setting security, how the metal will age. Details that don't show up in product photos but matter enormously over time.

Fine jewellery shouldn't be disposable. A well-made piece can be worn every day, resized when needed, repaired if something goes wrong, and eventually passed on. That's the point. That's what makes it worth making properly in the first place.

If something leaves my bench and comes back for a repair, I want to be able to look at it and know it was made right. That standard doesn't change depending on the price point or the deadline.

Make it properly once. That's the most sustainable thing I know how to do.
