Welcome to Stone Setting Courses
In fine jewellery, the true value often lies in the stones themselves. Clients invest significant sums in exceptional gems and expect them to be set with absolute precision and security for a lifetime. Even the finest stone can lose both its beauty and value if the setting is poorly executed.
Stone setting is therefore not simply a technical skill, but an essential part of craftsmanship. It safeguards the integrity of the piece, enhances its design, and reflects the standard of the maker.
I have spent years refining this craft, gaining experience in workshops across America, Europe, and Asia. Along the way, I have had the opportunity to learn from highly respected masters, developing techniques that extend well beyond standard industry practice.
This course is designed to pass that knowledge on to you — allowing you to progress with clarity and confidence, without years of trial and error.
You will learn to set stones with accuracy, control, and a refined finish from the outset.
Why this matters
Clients now expect consistently high standards — there is little tolerance for faults
Strong setting skills enable you to take on higher-value commissions (£500–£5,000+)
Mastery of stone setting opens the door to bespoke and premium work
Individual 1:1 tuition ensures complete focus on your development
Course Format
All training takes place in my workshop and is delivered exclusively on a one-to-one basis. There are no group sessions — each course is tailored to your level, pace, and objectives.
